United States Patent #6,332,979 dated 12/25/01

SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY FOR THE NON-CHEMICAL TREATMENT OF COOLING TOWER WATER

The TLC Envirotech patented system technology offers an environmentally sound approach to the treatment of cooling tower water with many positive benefits for our customers.

Historically, water used in cooling towers has been treated with chemicals to prevent or inhibit the formation of scale, bacteria, algae and corrosion at substantial expense. Buildup of the chemicals used in treating the water causes operating inefficiency and necessitates periodic shutdowns for cleaning. As much as half of the water used by the cooling tower is lost down the drain via blow-down (bleedoff) in order for the chemical treatment process to get rid of the total dissolved solids left behind by evaporation. Disposal of the contaminated water poses additional environmental compliance issues for our customers.

TLC Envirotech's patented system technology replaces the need for hazardous chemicals, eliminates the lost productivity due to shutdown of the system for cleaning, increases operating efficiency and produces immediate water savings due to the elimination of the blowdown process. Partnering with TLC Envirotech will make your cooling tower operation environmentally responsible and help your company achieve its water conservation goals.
